‘An opportunity to enjoy an after-dark tour of the Hospital’s atmospheric buildings and to hear a ghostly story or two.’

Porter’s Lodge Shop

The Trustees of The Hospital of St Cross are proud to announce they have been included in ‘Irreplaceable. A History of England in 100 Places’, organised by Historic England (the public body that helps people care for, enjoy and celebrate England’s spectacular historic environment) and sponsored by Ecclesiastical (leading insurance company with a charitable purpose and trusted to protect much of the UK’s heritage and art).

Copies now available in our shop (price £20.00). This book would make an excellent Christmas Present.

Winter shop opening hours (1 November to 31 March)
10.30am until 3.30pm Monday to Saturday
Sunday – 10.45am until 11.45am

Tea Rooms

Summer opening only  (April to October):
Monday – Saturday 10.30am to 12.30pm and 2.30pm to 4.30pm
Sundays 2.30pm to 4.30pm

Please note:  Due to volunteer staffing levels and availability of provisions, parties of 20 people or more (max capacity 50) refreshments MUST be pre-booked and paid for in advance.  Groups of 20+ will not be served if not pre-booked.
