Opening Times

Notice to Visitors: Visitors are advised that on occasional days there may be some areas of the Hospital that are closed to the public due to private events.  Wherever possible notice will be given here to advise of any restrictions, but please call the Porter’s Lodge for up-to-date information (tel: 01962 851375).

Church Tower Repairs – Major repair work to St Cross Church tower will commence on 12 August 2013.  Scaffolding will be erected around the Church tower, internally and externally, for approximately 4 months.  Outside the dates listed below, the Church will be open to visitors and for services, but the area below the Church tower will not be available for use and will be protected by screens. 
Monday, 12 to Friday 23 August 2013 – St Cross Church CLOSED to visitors

Friday, 13 September 2013 – Brethen’s Hall CLOSED to visitors

Summer (1st April to 31st October)
9:30am until 5:00pm (Monday to Saturday)
1:00pm until 5:00pm (Sundays)

Winter (1st November to 31st March)
10:30am until 3:30pm (Monday to Saturday)
Closed on Sunday except for church services

Guided tours are available by prior arrangement

Entry charges
Adults £4.00
Students and senior citizens £3.50
Children under 13 £2.00

Tea Room 
Refreshments are available in the summer months from Monday to Saturday from 10.30am to 12.30pm and from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, and at other times by prior arrangement. We regret that lunches are not served, except to groups booked in advance.
